A sneak peak

Hello guys as you saw from my first post I am pretty simple and boring but I will try to give little more on myself...

I am 21 years old a freshman and a biology major from Long Island, New York which about 2 hours from the city, But if you know some stuff about famous people they all have houses in the hamptons and I am about 15 minutes from there. Im from a very small town named Shoreham right on the North Shore. My town is so small that growing up going to school we always mixed our school district with the connecting town so we would have enough kids to fill classes. I loved growing up on Long Island, in the winters it would get nice and cold and in the summer it would get nice and hot and it was only a staircases away to get to the beach.

I grew up playing hockey and have always been in love with it. When I turned 15 I had the opportunity to move away from home and continue to play the sport I loved, so I switched to online high school and moved way. I have been many places over my playing career I have lived in Maine, California, Michigan and New Jersey, I spent the last 3 years before attending Bethel in New Jersey and I loved it there. After all these years of playing this sport at almost every level I still love to play the game and go wherever it takes me and currently that is here at Bethel university. A lot of people questioned my choice to move out at such a young age and they didn't understand how I could live on my own that young but looking back on it now I wouldn't change a thing. College hockey has become a huge part in my life now. Here is a link to keep updates with our team.

When I was 16 I got my first tattoo on my wrist and I just thought it was so interesting and cool how these guy and girls could create such beautiful art and then transform it to skin and still make it look amazing. My cousin was a tattoo artist so I asked him if I could watch and learn from him and he taught me so much. Its years later now and I have many more tattoos and I designed them all myself (the picture to the right is one of my favorites) and I take pride in them and I love to look at what other people create and what there style is which is why I am very interested in this class and can't wait to see what you guys create.

Some more stuff about me, sadly I am a NY jets fan and I grew up going to games which was always fun because I got to do it with my family. I am also a rangers fan and going to games always blew my mind because seeing the games on TV never really showed how big they really were or how fast they were. Past that I didn't really watch to much TV just cartoon when I was young like Spongebob squarepants and jimmy neutron which is still pretty much all I watch I have spent most of my life in a hockey rink or the gym.

  1. Hey Jason. It was interesting getting to learn more about your passion for hockey. Despite your claim about being pretty simple and boring, it seems like you've lived quite a life so far! I like the format of your post and what you said about the art of tattoos. I'm planning on getting my first one this year, so if you have any advice i'd love to hear it!

  4. Hello to a fellow Jason! As I mentioned before, I've only in the last 2 or 3 years begun to see the name again among people younger than myself. I'm glad to see it making a comeback. "Simple and boring" don't quite fit what you just described, dude. It sounds like you've had quite a fulfilling past few years getting to do what you love, and that is amazing. Your blog looks good. I'm digging the red and green motif. I will say, however, that on an HD screen, your text is very small. You may want to bump your font size up maybe +2 or so.

  5. I have also known the feeling and dedicated heart that it takes to travel all over to play the sport you love! It is one of my favorite experiences as well, while it was very challenging, i would not change it for the world!
